Hotel Indigo Guangzhou Haixinsha was converted from former naval barracks. Its design blends Guangzhou’s neighbourhood culture with modern style, using high-saturation colours and Cantonese elements to create a vibrant atmosphere. iLuvVivid provides custom colours and artistic coatings to help shape richly layered spaces where tradition and modernity meet, delivering a unique visual and cultural experience.

The overall space is guided by the dialogue between sharp geometric lines and soft curves, creating a reception area that feels both grand and gentle.

Throughout the project, high-quality materials and refined craftsmanship are used to achieve a diverse and inclusive spatial experience, meeting the owner’s dual pursuit of comfort and aesthetics.

Led by chief designer Xie Zhenyu, this villa blends exposed timber beams, sandstone-effect artistic finishes and Nappa leather-inspired textures to create a home that is both rustic and luxurious, with all the comfort of modern living.

The design centres on nature, tactility and warmth, reflecting a relaxed Tuscan way of life. In the living room, solid timber ceiling beams, creamy sandstone-effect walls and a stone-brick fireplace add character and a natural, grounded feel. The reception lounge continues this atmosphere with sandstone-finish walls and comfortable seating, creating a warm and welcoming space for guests.

QuQiu Creative Design Studio in Quanzhou, Fujian was co-created by “Ms Qu and Mr Qiu,” driven by the idea that every handover is a gift. The spatial design focuses on emotional expression and shaping a distinctive lifestyle.

The walls make extensive use of iLuvVivid finishes such as Lambskin, Nappa Leather and Snow Velvet, creating rich colours and delicate textures. Through meticulous detailing and emotional layering, the space unifies function and aesthetics, becoming an ideal base for a happy, fulfilling life.

This project uses iLuvVivid’s Nappa Leather Suede artistic coating, with fully hand-crafted leather-effect walls that offer both a warm elegance and eco-friendly, healthy performance, creating a soft, soothing “cream-tone” ambience throughout the space.

Custom furniture and refined floral arrangements are woven into the design to add depth and vitality. The overall concept not only elevates the tactile and visual quality of the interior, but also creates a safe, relaxing and empowering environment for skincare treatments.

The Mandarin Cake Shop at Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou, redesigned by CCD, draws inspiration from Lingnan culture and 19th-century British garden illustrations.

The space is animated through rich green tones, murals of historic Guangzhou, and bespoke furnishings blending antique bronze and French-style elements, evoking a fusion of Oriental elegance and modern charm. Visitors pass through a lofty double-height vestibule where antique-bronze display cases reveal artisanal confections, leading into the main salon flooded with natural light, tropical views, and immersive garden murals. The result is a poetic and refined setting—an exquisite backdrop for ceremonial afternoon tea that enchants through its visual richness and cultural resonanc

Pharoah’s Robe texture was applied to the wave-textured silver-grey ceiling and the bar’s backdrop, delivering a warm metallic sheen under soft lighting that reduced dependence on strong illumination while maintaining depth. Dune was used for the main dining wall, where its fine granular texture preserved warmth and subtle layering even in low-light conditions, echoing both Japanese refinement and Chinese aesthetics of simplicity.
